Ismaya quickpaint

Quick painting of a character I have planned for pathfinder, Ismaya the vishkanya rogue. I've had the lines sitting around a while, but just slapped some color on it 'cause I needed an icon for the game. >>

Two things

First up, digital sketch of a Pathfinder character I have planned. A vishkanya deadly courtesan rogue named Ismaya. I intend to color and stuff, add in markings, tattoos, and scale-patterning, 'cause he's a snakey thing.

Second: Little crochet dragon I just finished. Or crochet wyvern. Whatever. Mostly followed a pattern (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dragon-wyvern-game-of-thrones-style), I changed a couple things, like the feet and added ears. Once I get a better hang of things, I might see if I can improve a bit on it. I didn’t really like how the legs turned out, They were supposed to be slightly bent, but mostly ended up straight, and also too thin. But! Learning!

I did a thing

Sketchy thing from tonight/this morning. Niran looking extra feminine. Still sort of figuring out a style. I kind of like the huge eyes. I don't know, I should probably try more stylized, but I feel weird about it.

Generic Dragon Is Generic

Trying to make myself draw again. Everything feels rusty though. Here is an attempt at a dragon. I should have used a reference for the pose, but I did not. Cat-sit dragon is sort of awkward. I went through three attempts at this. First was trying to draw a dragon using a lion for a reference. But I kept being annoyed with how the body was turning out. Then was two attempts at trying to draw the dog that did not succeed. Then just decided hell with it, generic pose dragon. It was going to have arm-wings originally, but then I decided no, because then you wouldn’t be able to see the back legs… I might still make an arm-wings version, if I work on this again later. I feel like drawing dragons.

Zanin Commission

Maybe done? Just need to check if the tattoos are okay, or if I need to tone them down a bit.

Think... legs maybe too long? Also bleh, hands and feet.

Update:
Trying to clean up the sketch. I hate hands so much. :(

Bluhh. I don't like the faces on this. I need to fix them. And probably weird proportions. I don't know. I might redraw the whole thing and try from my head instead of from a reference. But then... I donno. I feel like from my head, I don't really do anything with foreshortening at all, and the poses always end up looking the same...

... also in afterthought I should have left the sketchier lines under this in the picture, because their legs look all messed up without them. D: Ohwell. I guess see what Windy thinks and then work from there tomorrow maybe.

Started and to-go-unfinished

So original sketch, then attempt at color. Kind of.... don't like how it's going. Don't like the eyes, can't really fix them without completely erasing them, don't wanna bother. So probably just going to start fresh.

Playing with trying to layer color ontop of a grayscale sketch. Character is my miqo'te in FFXIV, Y'khress.

Valandil and Zuhayr for Windermere's birthday!

I think I'm satisfied with it. I might try throwing in some color later.

Greyscale Sketch

Another greyscale sketch, this time of a friend's Varisian Monk, Ileana.

Comparing changes and the only other image I had of him.

Zuhayr Paintsketch

I like the sketch better with this one. nose got weird in the painting. And I had to redo his eyes a couple times because I made them too big.

Valandil for Chris

Sketch of Valandil. Decided after I started painting his jaw was too square. I also ended up changing his lips and nose a little...

And here's the painted version. I like it. Although I realize now that I forgot to do more to his lips. Tried doing the hair on a separate layer this time. I kind of like it better in some ways, but then I don't like how the ends end up... all blunt.
